A large section of our Ababol release agents are formulated without organic solvents or alcohols, without releasing CFCs or any other volatile organic compound, complying with the highest environmental requirements.

Mould cleaning
Cleaning the mould removes traces of waxes, surface treatments or residues generated during the manufacturing process from the surface of the mould. A surface free of contaminants allows the perfect adhesion of our sealants and release agents, so we will be able to increase the performance of the demoulding processes. We have cleaners indicated to replace products with a higher toxicity and danger such as methyl chloride, acetone, styrene or other cleaners based on organic solvents. The cleaning power of our Ababol cleaners is very high, it does not degrade the moulds or tools.

Mould sealing
After cleaning the mould or before its first use, it is advisable to use sealants (pore plugs). Sealants allow for the removal of micropores and other irregularities from the mold surface that can result in anchor points in the manufacturing process. They increase the margin of safety against possible adhesions, facilitating and making the action of the release agents safer and more effective.
We have a wide range to adapt to the different types of moulds, both for the materials with which they are made and for the shape of the mimes. The use of Ababol mold sealants increases the profitability and durability of the mold.

Application of the release agent
Application of the release agent to provide the surface of the mold with qualities of non-stick and lubricity. They serve as a barrier between the surface of the mould and the manufactured part, preventing gluing and facilitating its subsequent removal.
High-performance water-based release agents have prevailed in the vast majority of processes where industrial safety and respect for the environment are a business premise. These products have a very high non-stick capacity and also provide great lubricity, which facilitates the demoulding process.
We have a wide range of products, with the ability to release mold and the right lubricity, to adapt to all types of processes. Thanks to Ababol Products’ technology, we can use solvent-free release agents in parts made with gel coat, in repaintable parts or in parts with easy self-demoulding, without reducing the efficiency of demoulding or generating problems in the production process.
