We have a wide range of products:
- Polyester and vinylester-based resins for industrial or private use. Clades Composites has a wide range of synthetic resins for all types of applications in industrial sectors such as: manufacture of cast parts, RTM, manual rolling or spray casting on fiberglass (GFR or GRP), infusion, polymer concrete, engeniering stone or solid surface.
- Epoxy-based resins, for infusion, casting or manual rolling, with high thermal resistance, application on carbon fibres and glass, casting and infusion and applicable to paddle rackets, surfboards, nautical, automotive, agriculture, …
- High-performance gel-coat, orthophthalic (ORTO), isophthalic (ISO), neopentyl glycol isophthalic (ISO-NPG), epoxy and vinylester. Designed to provide high quality finishes in a wide range of applications and sectors such as nautical, wind, sanitary, swimming pool manufacturing, tank manufacturing, polymer concrete, automotive, etc. We have different versions with specific characteristics such as resistance to abrasion, weathering, hydrolysis, fire, etc. That comply with the certifications required by the client: (Euroclass, M1F1, M2F1…).
- Tooling products: Resins, putties and gel coats for the manufacture of moulds and models based on any type of material: polyurethane, polystyrene, epoxy blocks, wood… Our resins are easy to use, allow molds to be made in record time, offer zero shrinkage in the laminate and thermal resistance.
- Epoxy-based products such as different types of gel coat, resins and adhesives, being able to formulate exclusively for the specific needs of each client. We have epoxy for infusion, casting, RTM, epoxy and polyurethane foams, epoxy for potting, etc.
- High-performance pigment pastes and pigment concentrates, with a high concentration of pigments, suitable for incorporation into all types of resins: vinylester, epoxy, polyurethane and unsaturated polyester (with or without fillers) as well as gel-coat and solid surface. The dispersion of the pigment is carried out on a mixture of glycols of different molecular weights, which allows compatibility with different polymeric systems.
- Putties applied by spray or Core Light for the repair of molds or finished parts or for the improvement of the surface finish. There are products for manual application, usually with a spatula and also sprayable. Core Light is a type of putty, applied by hand or gun, for reinforcing complex parts in molds or end products. The low density of these prevents weight gain of the final products.

How to choose the right resin for an industrial application?
The choice of resin depends on factors such as the manufacturing process, mechanical properties, chemical resistance, atmospheric agents, and the environmental conditions of use. In industrial applications, it is common to select between polyester, vinyl ester, or epoxy resins based on the balance between technical performance and cost.
What resins are used in composite materials?
The most commonly used are:
- Polyester resins.
- Vinylester resins.
- Epoxy resins.
Each offers different mechanical, chemical, and processing properties.
What is the difference between epoxy resin, polyester and vinylester?
- Vinylester resins offer greater chemical and mechanical resistance, being more rigid.
- Epoxy resins provide high chemical and mechanical resistance, being able to reach higher working temperatures (120-200ºC). Their use as structural adhesives stands out.
- Polyester resins are typically more economical and are used in industrial applications where chemical requirements are lower.
What resin is used for vacuum infusion?
Resins with low viscosity and high wettability are the most suitable for infusion processes because they allow the fiber to be properly impregnated. We can use polyester, vinylester or epoxy.
Which resin is best for outdoors?
NPG or vinylester isophthalic resins perform better against moisture, UV radiation and ageing.
What is a gel coat?
The gel coat is a protective layer that is applied over the mold and provides surface finish, chemical protection and weather resistance. The resin with which it is made will define the final performance of the material.
What is the gel coat used for?
The gel coat fulfills several functions:
- Aesthetic finish
- protection against UV and weather agents.
- Resistance to moisture and chemical agents
- Surface protection of the part.
What gel coat is used for molds?
Specific gel coats with high surface hardness and thermal resistance are used, designed to extend the life of the mold.
