ESTRATOS Project: R&D Collaboration.

‘Study of strategies to maximise productivity by minimising deformations in polymeric materials with SLS and LCD additive manufacturing technologies for industrial applications’.

AIDIMME R&D project in cooperation with companies, supported by IVACE+i through the FEDER Fund, in which strategies are studied and developed to maximise productivity, minimising defects in manufacturing with the use of the technologies used in the project.

All the parameters involved in the two technologies have been analysed, such as: process temperatures (°C), powder layer thicknesses (µm) and laser power (W) when talking about the PBF-LB/P technology, previously known as SLS. In the VPP-LED/P technology, known as LCD, the curing time per layer, the layer thickness (µm), the stopping times between layers, the post-curing phase including temperatures and UV exposure times, among others, are analysed.

In addition, industrial demonstrator parts requested by the collaborating companies have been made and the results obtained in the design and manufacture of textures with different software applied to parts with complex surfaces have been shown.

Clades Composites, in collaboration with Cínica Gironés, GH Electrotermia and Valved Speed Air, have been the companies that have participated in this project as evaluators and suppliers of ideas/needs for the manufacture of demonstrator parts.

Clades Composites has participated in the development of the textures made on polymeric pieces for the project, in VPP-LED/P (previously LCD) technology. Demonstrator pieces have been designed for outdoor use, especially for application on facades.
